Overview

We’ve improved the document experience in two key ways:

  • A new full-screen modal for viewing document-level information (including X-Ray, Compare Documents, and API output)

  • A new set of document-level controls that mirrors the customer-level controls, so common actions are easier to find

These updates make document review clearer, more consistent, and quicker to navigate.

What’s new

1) Full-screen modal

Document-level information now opens in a large, full-screen modal that’s designed to be easy to read and easy to dismiss.

Where you’ll see it

  • X-Ray

  • Compare Documents

  • Document API output

Why this is better

  • Clearer visibility: More space means document details are easier to scan without feeling cramped.

  • Faster navigation: Open the modal to focus on the information you need, then dismiss it quickly to return to your workflow.

  • More consistency: The same interaction pattern is used across multiple document surfaces.

2) New document-level controls

We’ve added a new set of document-level controls so you can take common actions from the document view in a way that feels consistent with the customer experience.

Actions you can take from the document view

  • Manage tags

  • Add document content to a blocklist

  • Open in a new tab

  • Copy URL

Why this is better

  • Fewer clicks: Common actions are easier to find right where you’re working.

  • More consistency: Customer-level and document-level controls now align, reducing context switching.

  • Less hunting: A streamlined control set helps you manage documents without searching through different menus.
